Blue and Yellow Dresses

Corie Fauer, of blessed memory, created paintings, drawings and ceramic artworks. Her subjects were bright, nostalgic and euphoric: rainbows, disco balls and prom dresses are recurring themes. She created vivid tableaus of fantasy scenes through the use of detailed collages and bold hues, often with a touch of her favorite color, pink. Corie often placed herself into her work — drawing or collaging images of herself into the special moment she envisioned while revealing her imaginative inner-life. Corie was a participating artist at the Soul Studio from 2017-2019.
