Neighborhood Bonfire

Sheryl never shies away from large-scale painting. She sits in front of her canvas with reference books piled around her, quietly sketching each figure onto her piece. Using bold red acrylic paint, she first covered the entire canvas in one solid color. She then took a thick paint brush with black paint and illustrated each figure and house. Finishing the edges with a collage of torn colored paper, she created a scene that looks warm and inviting.
